About MAM USA
MAM, like all great success stories, started off with a vision. Throughout the mid 1970’s, discerning parents were often forced to compromise between safety and style when purchasing products for their children. Peter Röhrig, MAM Founder and a qualified plastics engineer who has a modern understanding of the market, revolutionized the industry by developing safe, yet stylish baby products that include medical benefits not found in competing brands. Upon MAM’s inception, Peter Röhrig, along with his team of medical experts and studio designers, worked hard to develop a pacifier that raised standards for both design and functionality. The first MAM pacifier was sold in 1976 and has gradually evolved into the world's leading authority on the design of baby products.
The new pacifier was an immediate success with parents and babies. In 1989 the Austrian entrepreneur expanded its presence into the United States by partnering with Sassy, Inc.. The company distributed MAM until 2008 when the the long awaited MAM office opened in White Plains, New York. “We have enjoyed a great collaboration with Sassy for the past twenty-five years and it is time to establish a stronger foothold in America,” said Michael Tedesco CEO of MAM USA. “We are thrilled to be hitting the ground running and actively cultivating new relationships to extend MAM’s reach to consumers.” Approximately forty percent of the sales are generated from the United States. Therefore, MAM was eager to expand the US-based foothold in order to better service its retailers and consumers more effectively. Global commitment and stable growth signify the vision Peter Röhrig had for MAM as an International company with its heart in Austria.
Since 1976, MAM's working relationship with designers, technology specialists and its medical and scientific expert’s partner regularly to develop ground-breaking designer baby care products. Today, more than forty million MAM baby products are sold every year making the Austrian company the world’s leading designer brand in the industry.
