Non-nutritive sucking is an important source of comfort for your baby. Therefore professionals recommend pacifiers, when breastfeeding is well established. Yet parents often express concerns regarding the potential effects of pacifiers on their baby's oral development. A particular worry revolves around the thickness and hardness of many pacifier teats, placing excessive pressure on the teeth and jaw. This can result in misalignment of your baby’s teeth. For the MAM Original pacifier we developed a symmetrical, thin and jaw-friendly teat small enough to minimize the impact on your baby’s oral development, while still satisfying your baby’s sucking need.

Dr. Yvonne Wagner, tandarts bij het Jena Universiteitsziekenhuis (DE), onderzocht de effecten van het MAM Perfect-speentje op de ontwikkeling van de tanden en de kaak in een longitudinaal onderzoek. De resultaten tonen aan dat het overschakelen van een conventioneel speentje op de MAM Perfect het risico op het ontwikkelen van een openbeet en een verhoogde overbeet vermindert. Op basis van de bevindingen van dit longitudinale onderzoek kan de MAM Perfect worden aanbevolen door experts.

* Wetenschappelijke rapporten van het Wild Hi-Precision instituut bevestigen dat de speenhals van de MAM Perfect gemiddeld 60% dunner is. Een reeks tests uitgevoerd door de Universiteitskliniek voor Tandheelkunde in Wenen bevestigen dat de MAM Perfect ook gemiddeld 4 keer flexibeler is dan vergelijkbare speentjes. (Tussen: 32-83% dunner en 1,1-19,5 keer flexibeler dan reguliere silicone speentjes).
