Breastfeeding products

With only a few parts, the breast pump can be put together in no time.
The correct placement is immediately visible through the transparent cup. For extra comfort, the particularly soft SKINSOFT™ silicone cup can be used.
Quick and quiet pumping thanks to the ergonomic grip makes using the pump especially easy – regardless of whether you’re at home, at work or on the go.

Before using the MAM Manual Breast Pump for the first time, all parts that will come into contact with the breast and breast milk must be taken apart, cleaned and sterilised.
Cleaning the breast pump following pumping is easy and uncomplicated thanks to the low number of parts. It is important to first disassemble the breast pump into all of its individual parts.
It can be cleaned by hand with warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher (in the top rack or in the cutlery compartment). MAM recommends cleaning the valve body and the valve membrane by hand.
Allow all parts to dry completely before using.

Each individual part of the breast pump must be sterilised before the first use as well as once a day.
They can be placed in a pan of boiling water for at least five minutes, in an electric steriliser or in a microwave steam steriliser, as well as in sterilising fluid without heat.
It is important to disassemble the breast pump into all of its individual parts before sterilising and to allow these to completely cool and dry before use.

The expressed milk can be stored for 24 hours in the MAM Anti-Colic – with teat and sealing cap or with the sealing discs – in the fridge (not in the door). This means that the milk is on hand immediately.

In order to store milk for up to three months, the MAM Storage Solution was developed: In the smart cups the milk can be stored hygienically and safely. It can then be frozen and simply defrosted when required.

The MAM Anti-Colic and MAM Storage Solution can be screwed directly onto the Manual Breast Pump – this ensures that every drop of the precious milk is safely captured.

Note the date of expression directly on the MAM Storage Solution – the MAM designers have provided an area for you to do this. This means that the oldest milk can always be used up first.

Frozen milk defrosts easily overnight in the fridge or at room temperature.
To warm it up, the best option is to pour the breast milk into the bottle and simply warm it up in a waterbath or in a baby food warmer. Remove the sealing cap to do this!

Nipple Shields

If baby is not able to drink from the breast, or the breast is very sensitive, MAM Nipple Shields offer gentle protection for sore nipples. They can be used at short notice and in consultation with a breastfeeding consultant.

MAM Nipple Shields are sterilised before they are first used and when necessary. This can be done using boiling water, a steam steriliser or a commercially available sterilising solution.

MAM Nipple Shields come in a smart, sterilisable storage box. They are then stored safely and hygienically at all times.

Recycling

Unwanted electrical equipment is the UKs fastest growing type of waste. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and also human health.
To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin.

What is WEEE?
The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items. In the UK, distributors (including retailers) must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. Those establishing their own take-back scheme must as a minimum offer all customers buying new electrical equipment free take back of their old electricals on a like-for-like basis.

Find more information about WEEE recycling and where to locate your local recycling centre at https://repic.co.uk/consumers
