For babies from 2 to 6 months
For hygiene reasons, the nipples should be replaced at regular intervals. Simply check the nipple each time you are about to use the bottle – especially when baby already has teeth – and replace it when the first signs of damage or weak points become apparent.
Before first use, and at regular intervals thereafter, boil the pacifier in water for up to five minutes.
Please avoid leaving the pacifier in the sterilising solution for longer than the time recommended. Sometimes water may enter the inside of the nipple, this is because of a ventilation systems that exists in the nipple and helps make the pacifier orthodontic.
When the baby closes down on the nipple, the air from inside the nipple is pushed out through the ventilation system thereby flattening the nipple and adapting to the baby´s individual oral cavity. So, the ventilation hole is needed in order to allow for proper development of your baby's jaw and mouth.
With only a few parts, the breast pump can be put together in no time.
The button on the pacifier has a crystal structure that absorbs and then gives off light. This is “naturally recharged” by daylight during the day, enabling baby or parents to easily find it again at night.
The glow-in-the-dark button cannot be charged using LED light.
The body’s defences are already very well developed in a baby who is six months old. At this age, all you need to do is sterilise the bottle and the teat occasionally. If the baby is ill, the bottle should be sterilised again every single day.
Yes, because the innovative protective cap ensures that the liquid remains in the bottle. This means there is no need for any small sealing disc: Simply place the protective cap on the bottle and then you can transport it safely.
Make sure you detach the silicone ring and plastic clip from the pacifier keeper leash as they do lose their shape in boiling water and sterilisers. Once these spare parts have been removed, you can throw the leash in the wash, or hand-wash them. The plastic clip and silicone ring can be hand washed with soap and water.
MAM has developed an innovative silicone nipple: the SkinSoft™ nipple. The silicone nipple is silicone with a difference as it is soft and feels like mom's breast. Thanks to the anti-slip surface, the soother easily stays in baby's mouth.
The MAM nipple is easily accepted by 94%* of babies thanks to its SkinSoft™ silicone surface and its unique flat shape, which feel so familiar to babies. This facilitates a switching between breast- and bottlefeeding.

Being able to adjust the length makes the clip even more versatile. The MAM Clip It! can be attached to all sorts of different soothers, toys and teethers. By adjusting the length of the clip, however, it can even be adapted to the current situation. For example, if the baby is crawling, the clip can be shortened to avoid the soother dragging along the floor. Alternatively, if baby is lying or sitting, it can be made longer to allow easy access to the soother in any position.
The closed appliance with water is placed in the microwave. Microwaves allow the water to vaporise. The hot steam sterilizes the products and components in the appliance.
Yes, our MAM pacifiers support baby’s healthy jaw and teeth development. MAM collaborates with medical experts from various disciplines to help develop and design innovative, physiologically shaped pacifiers that suit baby’s various developmental stages.
All MAM pacifiers have a flat and symmetrical nipple shape: there is no ‘top’ or ‘bottom’. This special nipple shape ensures that our pacifiers are always correctly positioned in the babies’ mouth.
MAM pacifiers have a ventilation system in the teat. In more detail, when your baby closes its mouth down on the teat, the air from inside the nipple is pushed out through the ventilation system, thereby flattening the nipple, and adapting to the baby´s individual oral cavity.
Four-month-old babies love drinking from a cup. The MAM Cup range provides them with the ideal support here. This will ensure that baby makes the perfect transition from breastfeeding or bottle feeding to independent drinking.
In the MAM Microwave Steam Sterilizer the products can be flexibly arranged on 2 levels and the sterilizer holds up to e.g.:
Note the date of expression directly on the MAM Storage Solution – the MAM designers have provided an area for you to do this. This means that the oldest milk can always be used up first.
Each individual part of the breast pump must be sterilized before the first use as well as once a day.
Bottle nipples are simply rinsed with water and mild cleaning agent or cleaned in the upper compartment of the dishwasher.
The nipple is sterilized before it is first used and then at regular intervals.
Babies are born with the natural urge to suck. Orthodontic pacifiers, if no longer used by the child’s 3rd birthday, support a healthy development. When the child wants to sleep, needs comforting or wants to relax, he or she will be happy about having a pacifier.
You can choose refrain soother usage when the baby is playing as the baby is already distracted, and most likely, relaxed by interaction of toys. Many paediatric dentists and other medical experts do recommend the use of pacifiers because it is much easier to wean a baby off of pacifiers than it is to wean off of thumb-sucking.
The self-sterilising function of the Easy Start™ Anti-Colic is proven to be effective for killing common household germs and bacteria. This method is completely sufficient and safe. For the best results, please follow all instructions carefully and use only as directed.
MAM innovative self-sterilising function
For simple & safe bottle sterilisation in the microwave - without a separate sterilising device.
Step 1: Assemble clean bottle parts as follows: base with silicone valve, teat with screw ring, bottle body and protective cap.
Step 2: Fill the base with silicone valve with 20 ml of cool water. The protective cap makes a practical measuring cup.
Step 3: Place the screw ring with teat in the bottle base. Place the bottle body on it (optionally screw in slightly to avoid pouring out hot water by removing the bottle from microwave). Place the protective cap on top.
Allow bottle to cool down before removing from microwave. Recommended cooling time: 10 minutes at opened microwave door.
For immediate usage: Pour away the leftover water from the base.
Set the microwave timer according to the number of bottles being simultaneously cleaned. Set microwave from 500 to 1000 Watts.
The microwave steam steriliser is aligned to commercially available microwave appliances. It fits the majority of available microwaves. Should the appliance not fit into the microwave, please check that the lid has „clicked“ into place correctly.
No. MAM products do not contain softening agents. MAM only uses materials that meet the highest expectations and safety standards of the FDA and EN 1400. Hence, all MAM pacifiers are completely baby-safe. They do not contain BPA, BPS, PVC, Phthalate, and Lead.
Yes, of course. MAM safety and quality standards are extremely high. Every one of our products is thoroughly tested and approved to be 100% safe for babies.
Before using the MAM Manual Breast Pump for the first time, all parts that will come into contact with the breast and breast milk must be taken apart, cleaned and sterilized.
Bisphenol A (BPA) is an important component for the manufacturing of polycarbonate (PC), whereas Bisphenol S (BPS) is an organic chemical used to make polysulfone. Among other items, food packaging, plastic utensils and baby bottles are just a few examples of products made with PC, whereas the main usage of BPS is in thermal papers and inks. The problem: Trace amounts of chemical substances gradually leach out of the plastic into the food and might eventually get into the body. This can affect small children and infants in particular.
As a result of exposure to BPA, experts and studies have seen disruptions to the hormone system and brain, diabetes and heart damage as well as an increased risk of cancer. Although scientific evidence is not yet conclusive, the European Commission - based on the precautionary principle - has banned the usage of BPA in baby bottles in order to protect the health and safety of babies and small children.
The appliance is suitable for microwaves with wattage 500 to 1850. The sterilization times correspond to the microwave’s wattage; adhere to the given times:
Wattage | Time* | Cooling time |
650W-1000W | 11 min | 3 min |
1050W-1800W | 5 min | 3 min |
1850W | 5 min | 3 min |
No. All MAM pacifier are developed in cooperation with medical experts and comply with international safety standards and minimal size regulations for pacifiers. It is impossible for babies to swallow them.
In rare cases, babies can manage to squeeze the entire pacifier in their mouths. Should the pacifier become lodged in baby's mouth, remove the pacifier as gently as possible by grabbing the pacifier button. It is designed to be easily and safely removed.
This depends on the charging time and light source (such as the intensity of natural light during the day). Because of this, it is not possible to give a precise answer. However, under optimal conditions, the glow effect can last for up to 500 minutes.
Yes. MAM designers have developed a clip that meets all safety standards requirements and at the same time also looks stylish.
The length of the leash on all MAM Clips is within regulation and strangulation dangers are virtually impossible. The leash should NEVER be lengthened or fastened to lose parts and strings! Check the leash for damage before use and always clip on firmly!
The clip can also be used for other pacifiers. Although the innovative silicone ring on the MAM clip was designed to snuggly fit the knob on all MAM pacifiers, MAM pacifier clip can be attached to pacifiers with rings, as well.
No. MAM products do not contain any plasticizers.
MAM only ever uses materials which satisfy the highest demands and safety standards. This means that MAM products guarantee that babies enjoy the best start in life.
Before the bottle is placed in the water bath or the bottle warmer, the sealing cap is always removed. The contents of the bottle must not boil – so do not pour any boiling liquids into it!
Before feeding begins, the bottle should be dried using a clean cloth.
The MAM bottle is unscrewed and taken apart to make it easier to clean. This makes it easy to rinse the individual parts with water and a mild cleaning agent. All individual parts become hygienically clean in any steriliser. Sterilisation before each use of the bottle is particularly important for newborns.
The MAM Pod can be cleaned with mild soap and water. A soft sponge can be used. Rinse thoroughly afterwards and let it dry before using it again.
MAM has developed bottle nipples in six different sizes. This means that the size of the hole is always perfectly matched to the type of food: The correct flow speed for the food ensures that babies always suck vigorously and thus aids their healthy development.
Six smart sizes for perfect enjoyment while sucking:
Size 0: Extra small for newborns - ideal for breastmilk & formula
Size 1: from birth onwards – for baby’s first food which is particularly free-flowing
Size 2: from 2 months – perfect for the baby who is now slightly better trained
Size 3: from 4 months – baby sucks more vigorously and drinks faster
Size x: from 6 months – the ideal teat for mashed-up food
Spill-free teat: from 4 months - ideal for baby’s first independent drinking tries
Latex is a soft, resilient, natural rubber. It is eco-friendly and much more flexible than silicone. However, after prolonged use, the material can change. If latex is stored in a hot area of your home, or is in contact with sunlight for an extended period of time, its shape can change and is then stripped from its orthodontic qualities. Furthermore, because it is a natural material, the latex can become sticky and begin to look unhygienic. There is no clear scientific evidence for a connection between latex teats and latex allergy. If you are a parent who wishes to avoid using latex, you can simply do so by using a soother with a silicone teat.
Silicone is an intensively tested, well-tolerated plastic that does not age. It complies with all the applicable requirements of FDA and EN 1400, however, is not as bite resistant and a little less elastic than latex. Consequently, we recommend you thoroughly inspect a soother before each time baby uses it, especially if baby is teething and uses a silicone pacifier.
Note the date of expression. The oldest milk can always be used first.
Check the pacifier before each use - especially when baby is teething - and throw away at the first signs of damage or weakness. However, we recommend the soother be replaced every two months for hygienic purposes.
