Depending on your relationship with the MAM Group, you will find information about the type of data we collect and how we use it in the relevant section of this Privacy Notice. As a result, some sections of this Privacy Notice may not be relevant to you. 

We may update this Privacy Notice if we are required to do so by law or in order to provide you with all the information you need.

The MAM Group (“MAM, “we”, “us” and “our”), is located in 17 countries and works together to provide you with our products and services. Hence, we may process your personal data within our group of companies when required in order to provide you with our products and services.

  • Send you marketing communication, conduct marketing research, and surveys (legitimate interest and/or consent). When you sign up explicitly to receive marketing communication, we may process your personal data in order to provide you with personalized information about our products and services as well as conduct market research and satisfaction surveys. We may include individual tracking technologies in our messages, with which we can recognize when the message sent to you was accessed or opened and individualize the links in the message to determine when you clicked on which link. In certain regions, we may send you a confirmation message after you have explicitly signed up to receiving marketing communication. In such a case the registration to receiving marketing communication is not activated until you have clicked on the link in the confirmation message. You can opt out (therefore object to such processing or withdraw any given consent) from any marketing communication at any time. Simply use the unsubscribe link which is found at the end of every email. You can find more information on how to exercise your right in the paragraph “Your rights as a data subject” below. The relevant personal data are: name, address, company name, telephone number, email address, time and date of registration, usage data, respective product or service.
  • Maintain the security of our websites (legitimate interest). To protect our website from automated requests, we use a Captcha function. As the Captcha function is provided by a third party, displaying the captcha will cause third-party content to be downloaded. This provides the third party with information that you have accessed our site and with the usage data technically required for this purpose. 
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements and requests (legitimate interest or legal obligation). We might be required to process your data for legal and regulatory requirements or in order to establish, exercise and defend legal claims. 
  •  Corporate transactions purposes (legitimate interest or legal obligation). We may process your data during a sale of a (part of) business, or any restructuring, merger, joint venture, or other disposition of our business, assets, or stock or similar proceedings. 
  • Establish, exercise, and defend legal claims (legitimate interest). 

The personal information mentioned above is collected through the following means: (a) directly from the consumer; (b) from other individuals such as the consumer's friends and family; (c) from the consumer's browser or device (
see section 3).
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device by webpages that you visit. They are widely used in order to make our websites work efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognize your device, letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improving your experience.   • Conduct website Analysis and use Cookies (consent or legitimate interest). We use web analysis tools for the appropriate design of our websites and in order to identify and count returning visitors. These tools generate usage files based on pseudonyms. To this purpose, cookies are being used according to the description in our consent management tool. We may use cookies and similar technologies (for simplicity reasons, hereinafter referred to as cookies), when you use our websites, platforms, applications as well as other products and services. Our cookie banner and consent management system show you a list of the cookies we use, including their provider, purpose, description, and other relevant information. In the default setting, only the essential cookies are enabled. Via the consent management system, you can determine whether you allow the setting of additional cookies or not. You can adjust your preferences at any time via the consent management system.
  • Track and retarget for marketing purposes (consent). We use (cross-device) tracking technologies so that we can display targeted advertising outside of our website and determine how effective our advertising is. To this purpose, cookies are being used according to the description in our consent management tool.
  • Embed Videos (consent). Into our website we embed video tutorials about how to use our products and services. These videos are not hosted on our servers. To prevent that any information is automatically sent to the third-party provider, we only display locally stored thumbnails. Consequently, content from third-party providers is only loaded and information is only being shared after you provide your consent via our consent management system. 
  • Evaluate how you use our website for statistical purposes and in order to improve the quality of our websites (legitimate interest). The relevant personal data are the following: date and time of visit, volume of data transmitted, access status, information about your web browser and operating system, referral link that indicates from which website you arrived, IP address (which is processed in such a way that it is not possible anymore to trace it back to you). The above-mentioned log data will only be evaluated anonymously.

We will also process your personal data to send you personalized newsletters. For that purpose, we use Emarsys as a provider. To better understand how Emarsys processes your personal data under our instructions, please see section 4.11. If you wish to join the MAM Baby Club, we will ask you to provide us with some personal information to register you in the club and where you will be able to enjoy a variety of benefits.
The MAM Club will provide you with
  • Information about MAM and automatic notifications when new products are available; and
  • Access to the MAM Baby Online Shop where you can purchase our products.
We kindly ask you to fill our registration form providing us with the following details: 
  • Title;

  • City; and,
  • How did you hear about MAM?

In order to get to know you better and to personalize our services in the MAM Club and to offer you more interesting content in the MAM Baby Club (such as personalized product suggestion and coupons), we also ask you, on a voluntarily basis, to provide the following information:

  • Date of Birth;
  • Information relating to your pregnancy (First name of your unborn baby, if you have already chosen on one, expected birthday, expected gender, etc.);

In addition, we may process your data for these purposes:
  • Market research – your contact information and your gender.
  • Personalization – your gender and information regarding your pregnancy and baby’s development are collected to offer you tailored personalized electronic messages to support you in this important phase of your life. Please also consult our section regarding “Information relating to Children and/or Minors”.

If you have granted your consent, we may receive your registration to the MAM Baby Club and related services from our partners or affiliates. We will only receive the details you have shared on the registration form. 
We ask you to voluntary provide your gender details, in order to segment our audience for our market research activities. 
We will additionally process your date and time of registration for documentation purposes. 
You can change or delete your profile within your account at any time. Data will then be deleted from the system automatically immediately if there are no retention requirements and/or if the data is not required on an individual case basis (e.g. in the case of open claims).

Your email address may be shared with Advertising Platforms and Marketing Partners for marketing and targeted advertising services. You can opt out of this processing. To do so, please send us an email at

As a health care professional with access to the MAM Service 4 Professionals, you can enjoy a variety of benefits within our access restricted areas.  

If you wish to join the MAM Service 4 Professionals as a Health Care Professional, please register via the MAM Login. Please review the information below for further details. 

You will be able to use our services targeted to health care professionals once you register. We will provide you with:  
  •  Information about MAM and development-related content;
  •  Access to the MAM Baby Online Shop where you can purchase our products;
  •  Access to the MAM Healthcare Network featuring an overview of current events and trainings and access to events (through the websites provided by the entities for such events);
  •  Access to a study database containing scientific studies on development-related topics with different filter functions;
  •  Access to the MAM Science Corner where you can deepen your knowledge; and,
  •  Access to a quarterly MAM Scientific Newsletter.
You can change or delete your profile within your account at any time. Data will then be deleted from the system automatically if there are no retention requirements and/or if the data is not required on an individual case basis (e.g. in the case of open claims). 

If the registration of your information is necessary for the performance of a contract or to take steps prior to entering into a contract with you as a natural person, the processing will be based on Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR. In case you have not concluded any contract with MAM and your data is not necessary to conclude a contract with you, the processing will be based on your informed consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR. 

MAM Login for Health Care Professionals 
Please provide the following information:  
  •  Title;
  •  First name;
  •  Last name;
  •  Email address;
  •  City;
  •  Country;
  •  Area of Work (different options to select); and,
  •  Occupational Proof (professional qualification such as degree, leaving certificate, professional ID, etc). You can alternatively send or fax the proof of your qualifications to a fax number or a post address mentioned in the registration form.
MAM is offering this specific section only for HCPs due to its enhanced knowledge basis and services are targeted towards HCPs. 

In order to get to know you better and to offer you more interesting content in the Service4Professionals (such as personalized product suggestions and coupons), we also ask you, on a voluntary basis to provide the following information:  
  •  Telephone;
  •  Street Address;
  •  Street Address 2;
  •  County;
  •  Postcode / Zip;
  •  Date of Birth;
  •  Specialization;
  •  Name of Institution;
  •  Comment;
  •  Gender.
We will additionally process your date and time of registration for documentation purposes. 

Our website does not aim to target children or minors as defined under applicable local laws. The processing of children’s personal data is not necessary to provide you with our services. Under very limited circumstances MAM offers services, such as the baby development calendar or the MAM Baby club, where we request the guardian or parent to provide consent before processing any children’s data. If you are a guardian or parent and you become aware that a child or minor has provided us with personal information, you can review such information, delete it or refuse any further collection or use. Please use our contact form or email address to exercise those rights. 
We use a variety of service providers who support us in organizing our online shop and associated delivery services, we also receive technical support from agencies and information security specialists to make sure that your personal information is safely processed. We only transfer personal information if appropriate written contracts have been concluded and if we are able to guarantee an appropriate level of privacy.
  •  Affiliates. We may disclose personal information to other entities within the MAM Group. Any information shared with our affiliates will be processed in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Outside contractors. We may engage independent contractors, vendors, suppliers, and service providers to assist in providing our services, such as payment processing, customer support, shipping, and billing. These outside contractors are granted access to personal information only as needed to perform their functions. We require that they adhere to this Privacy Policy and use personal information solely for the purposes specified in their contracts.
  • Trusted third-party service providers who have a contract with us may also receive data. This includes, in particular, service providers who support us with regards to hosting, IT services and security, fraud detection, customer service, email delivery, data analysis, surveys, and consulting services.
  • Corporate transactions. We may disclose personal information to third parties in connection with a change in control or financial status of the company, including but not limited to corporate restructuring, sale, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, transfer, or assignment of assets, business merger or divestiture. Personal and other information may be shared with counterparties and others assisting with the transaction in the due diligence process and transferred to a successor affiliate as part of that transaction.
  • Legal and Regulatory Authorities. We may disclose personal information to legal or regulatory authorities, as required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Other Users. Information that you share through our page may be accessible to other users, such as reviews, ratings, and pictures. You should be aware that any information shared in a public platform, such as the reviews on our online store, is considered public information and may be seen or collected by third parties who do not adhere to our Privacy Policy. We encourage you to carefully consider before disclosing any information in any public forum or through a public profile, including those available on our website. Please be especially careful when uploading pictures of children. In addition, we may publish testimonials on our website and in other materials with your consent.
  • Other Third Parties. We may disclose personal information to other third parties only if there is a legal basis for the data transfer and appropriate transfer mechanisms are implemented.
  • Payment providers: If you use our Payment Collect services, we will collect your order data, invoice amount, invoice due dates and description of the article in order to verify that we have received your payment from one of the payment providers. Depending on the selection of your payment method, you will be redirected to a different platform where the payment collect takes place. The amount of personal information relating to your payment data that is collected is different for each of the payment providers. If you wish to receive more information about the categories of personal information collected and the operation in general, please visit the corresponding privacy policies of the providers. The method of payment and the transfer of data to one of the payment providers will be voluntarily selected by you.
Unless otherwise specified, we will delete your personal data when it is no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected and no legal obligations exist that requires a longer retention.
In order to protect your information from unauthorized access as comprehensively as possible, we implement reasonable safeguards such as webpage and encryption methods. Your data is transferred from your computer to our server and vice versa via the Internet using TLS encryption.
Visitors to the webpage have the following rights:
  • access your data and receive a copy of your data;
  • rectification and erasure of your data;
  • restriction of processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw consent;
  • object to the processing, if the data is processed pursuant to the legitimate interests of MAM, including for marketing purposes;
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes applicable data protection regulations.
If you are a resident of California, Colorado*, Connecticut*, Utah**, or Virginia, you are entitled to the following rights:
  • Right to know/access personal information: consumers have the right to know what personal information about them has been collected. Consumers may request businesses to disclose which categories of personal information are processed, categories of sources from which the data was collected, purpose for the collecting, selling and sharing of the information, categories of third parties to whom the business discloses information, and specific pieces of personal information that have been collected.
  • Right to erasure: consumers have the right to request that we delete any personal information about them which we have collected. If we have shared the information with service providers or contractors, we will immediately notify them to delete the personal information from their records.
  •  Right to correction or rectification: consumers may request the correction of inaccurate personal information.
  •  Right to data portability: Consumers have the right to obtain a copy of their personal data in a format that is portable, readily usable, and allows the consumer to transmit the data to another controller without impediment, where the processing is carried out by automated means. In all cases, the obligations of the controller are limited to the extend technically feasible and practicable.
 The rights below are specific to residents of the following states: 

California Residents
  • Right to opt-out: consumers have the right to direct the business to not sell or share (or stop selling or sharing) their personal information. Please note that we do not sell your personal information for money. However, we may share it with third parties solely for business purposes and in the course of normal business activities.
  • Right to not retaliation: Consumers have the right to be free from discrimination for exercising their rights.

Colorado*, Connecticut*, and Virginia Residents

  • Right to object: Consumers may opt-out of the processing of their personal information for the purposes of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning them.

Utah** Residents

  • Right to object: Consumers have the right to opt-out of the processing of their personal information for the purposes of targeted advertising or the sale of personal data.

Nevada Residents

  • Right to opt-out: consumers have the right to direct the business to not sell (or stop selling) their personal information.

* Colorado and Connecticut residents are entitled to the above-mentioned rights beginning July 1, 2023. 

** Utah residents are entitled to the above-mentioned rights beginning December 31, 2023.

Right to Appeal
This section applies only for residents of Colorado and Virginia. If we do not take action on your request or refuse to act on it, you have the right to appeal the decision. Appeals can be sent to the e-mail address [email protected] within 30 days after we notify you that we are denying the request.
If applicable according to local laws, we will provide you with a method to contact or submit a complaint to the Attorney General.
