FAQ

Yes, nasal aspirators are generally safe for newborns, as long as they are used properly. Babies rely on their noses to breathe, so clearing congestion can help them breathe and feed more comfortably. Use gentle suction and avoid overuse to prevent irritation.

The stage of development is more important than the age: - As long as the child cannot yet blow its nose on its own, a nasal aspirator can be helpful. - In older children, a nasal aspirator is usually no longer necessary or is rejected by the child.

Yes, excessive use (more than 2-3 times per day) can irritate the nasal lining, cause swelling, or even minor nosebleeds. Use the aspirator only when necessary. To help loosen mucus, we recommend applying a saline solution first. Please note: our nasal aspirator is not suitable for applying nose drops but is intended for mucus removal only.

A nasal aspirator should only be used when necessary; ideally not more than a maximum of 2-3 times a day to prevent irritation. Typical applications are: Before breastfeeding or feeding - so that the baby can drink better. Before going to bed - for better sleep. Before inhalation - for a better effect.

1. Compress aspirator to eliminate air.

2. Gently place tip into one nostril while keeping the other closed.

3. Slowly release pressure in the aspirator and the suction will draw mucus from baby’s nasal passage.

4. Repeat as necessary.

5. Clean immediately after use.

For babies, it is recommended to lay them on their back with their head slightly elevated; for older children, it is recommended to hold them in an upright position.

Yes! Saline loosens mucus, making suctioning easier and more comfortable. Please note: our nasal aspirator is not suitable for applying nose drops but is intended for mucus removal only.

Each suction session should be quick—a few seconds per nostril is enough. Avoid prolonged suctioning.

It can remove most mucus, but some deeper mucus may need time to loosen with saline solution before suctioning. Please note: our nasal aspirator is not suitable for applying nose drops but is intended for mucus removal only.

It won’t prevent a cold but can relieve symptoms.

After every use: Rinse immediately with warm soapy water. Deep clean regularly: Put it on the top rack of the dishwasher and/or disinfect by using sterilizers or boil in water for 5 minutes.

Yes, the nasal aspirator is dishwasher safe and can be sterilized in boiling water.

As our nasal aspirator is not classified as a medical device, we do not recommend our nasal aspirator to do this. Moreover, there isn’t much scientific research to prove that breast milk is more effective than saline solution in that case. Please note: our nasal aspirator is not suitable for applying nose drops but is intended for mucus removal only.
