The must-have new calming device for babies

Recommended by medical experts

What is Pulsi?

In the womb, babies are surrounded by familiar rhythms and sensations. Ultrasound observations have shown that babies often play with and hold the umbilical cord close to their face and heart, using it as their first source of comfort.

Pulsi is a groundbreaking electronic calming device designed for use from birth that recreates the distinctive rhythm of the umbilical cord to help babies transition from womb to world. Unlike a heartbeat, the umbilical cord produces a unique sawtooth pulse - a gradual build-up followed by a quick release - creating a gentle, soothing sensation that babies first experience before they are born.

Made for everyday moments

Wherever your day takes you, Pulsi is there to provide a familiar source of comfort.

Whether you're enjoying cuddles, changing nappies, travelling, or winding down before bedtime, Pulsi helps support your baby's journey towards feeling calm and learning to self-soothe.

Please note: babies should not be put down to sleep with the device or left unattended during use.

Why babies love Pulsi

Medically-endorsed

When it comes to soothing a baby, reassurance matters for parents too. That's why Pulsi was developed with healthcare professionals, including UK midwives. In practical testing, 93% of medical experts agreed the device helps calm babies, giving families confidence in a new way to comfort their little one.

Personalised comfort

With three adjustable pulsation modes, you can personalise the soothing experience to suit your baby's individual needs. As your baby grows and their preferences change, Pulsi can adapt with them.

Soft for little hands

Pulsi is made from soft silicone and designed for little hands to hold with ease. Its textured handle is inspired by the ribbed feel of the umbilical cord, providing a familiar tactile sensation as well as its distinctive soothing pulsation.

Made to grow with your baby

Pulsi is available in two age-specific sizes.

  • 0+ months – Smaller, lighter and designed with gentler pulsation modes for newborns.
  • 4+ months – Larger, with stronger pulsation modes to support your baby's changing needs as they grow.

The story behind Pulsi

The inspiration for Pulsi came from a sonographer's assistant, who noticed something remarkable during pregnancy scans. She regularly saw babies instinctively holding their own umbilical cords close to their chest and face, using them as a source of comfort.
