How does the MAM ovulation calendar work?

The menstrual cycle starts with the first day of your period and ends the day before your next period. From a medical perspective a “average” menstrual cycle will last between 23 to 35 days. The highest possibility to get pregnant is on the day of ovulation or up to two days before ovulating.
In order to determine your ovulation date enter the first day of your last period and the length of your menstrual cycle into this fertility calculator. The MAM Ovulation calendar will show you the calculated ovulation date, your likelihood of conceiving based on your predicted fertile days and the day of a possible implantation.

A fertility calculator always works with percentiles since the menstrual cycle can vary from month to month.

In addition to using an ovulation calendar there are various physical signs of ovulation, that can help you track your fertile days

  • Vaginal fluid changes from whitish and sticky to runny, which makes it easier for the sperm to enter the uterus
  • Your cervix will be softer and slightly open
  • Changes in libido: some women notice an increased libido during ovulation
  • Some women experience mid-cycle pain: a tightness or twinges in the abdomen
  • Rise in basal body temperature 0,5 -1 degree
Be patient and do not stress yourself because not everything works perfectly at the first time you try – this is also true for a pregnancy.
